The 2017 Laureate of the Academy prize was awarded to Mr. Mateo Noseda, an Uruguayan Lawyer at Guyer & Regules. His essay was selected from the thirteen submitted this year on the topic: “Is there room for State counterclaims in treaty-based arbitration?”
A Jury composed of Professors Daniel Cohen, Marie-Elodie Ancel, Mathias Audit, Malik Laazouzi, Sylvain Bollée and Denis Mouralis selected the three best essays competing for the Prize. Following the Jury’s deliberations, the 2017 Laureate of the Academy Prize was awarded to Mr. Mateo Noseda from Uruguay. The runner up for the best essay was Mr. Michal Rzadkowski from Poland. Honorable mentions were awarded to Ms. Marianne Bastille-Parent from Canada.
